Bio
Joanna M. Hernandez the Assistant Director of Student Success Initiatives and interim Director of the TRIO Scholars Program at UC Irvine. She graduated with her Masters in Higher and Postsecondary Education from the University of Michigan, and her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology & Latin American Studies with a minor in Applied Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. As a first generation & low income student myself, I’m passionate about providing students with transformational experiences that help enrich all aspects of their lives. In my spare time I enjoy growing orchids, collecting beach glass and going for hikes.
