Bio
Hannah Jones is the Assistant Director of the UCI Student Outreach and Retention Center and focuses on authentic leadership, student retention, educational inequity, advocacy and student success.
Hannah’s passion is to focus on institutional organization change, shifting paradigms to better serve all people and equitably enhance the quality of people’s lives, helping organizations to reimagine spaces that were historically never meant for the marginalized voices.
She believes that students with opportunities to lead are more likely to succeed and education should serve as a path to mobility and should use SEL (Social Emotional Learning) as a tool to combat student attrition, understand students’ needs and experiences, close the education achievement gap and help students master their own destiny post degree attainment.
