Student Affairs has a unique position to engage students in sustainability education, inspire solutions-focused perspectives, and build partnerships to cultivate a campuswide commitment to global sustainability. In this session, presenters will share how Student Affairs professionals can learn to serve as change agents and adopt a new paradigm rooted in sustainability.
Session Goals & Outcomes
Understand what sustainability is and how it relates to the field of Student Affairs; increase awareness on how concepts of sustainability interconnect to issues of social justice, the environment, and economy; learn best practices on ways to educate students to be lifelong learners and role models on sustainability awareness, knowledge, and skills.
